The State of Connecticut
Judiciary Again Steps Up to the
Plate to Protect Connecticut
Homeowners
If
you are facing foreclosure in
the State of Connecticut on your
principal residence you are by
law, eligible for mediation in
the Connecticut Foreclosure
Mediation Program. This means
you get a chance to sit down
with your lender’s
representative and be advised on
all the available options to
help you save your home or sell
your home in order to avoid a
foreclosure on your credit
report. See the link below for
more information on this program
that has done more, in my
opinion, than anything else to
protect and assist Connecticut
homeowners facing foreclosure.

Now for the Better News!
In
addition to the mediation
program, as of September 1,
2010, the Connecticut Judicial
System has now added a
standing order that prevents
any lender or servicer from
foreclosing unless and until
eligible homeowners have applied
for and been denied relief under
President Obama’s “Making Home
Affordable Program” which covers
temporary unemployment,
modifications, short sales and
second mortgages. This is a
huge relief for Connecticut
homeowners who can now be
assured that a lender’s access
to Court is effectively blocked
unless a representative of the
lender swears under oath that
they have exhausted all federal
options available to aid
homeowners. For more

standing order.
We
encourage you to contact us to

order effects you.
